Is Base64 encryption?
No. Base64 is an encoding, not encryption. Anyone can decode it, so never use it to protect passwords or secrets.
Does it support URL-safe Base64?
Yes. When decoding, the URL-safe characters - and _ and missing = padding are accepted automatically.
Why do I get a "binary data" message?
The Base64 you pasted decodes to a file such as an image, not to text, so it cannot be displayed as text.
