Terms of Use
Last updated 8 October 2026
By using iLoveMyFile you agree to these terms. They are written to be read; please take a minute to do so.
1. The service
iLoveMyFile provides free online tools for working with files, text and web addresses. You do not need an account. We may add, change or remove tools at any time.
2. Your files and content
You keep all rights to the files and content you use with the tools. Most tools process them in your browser without sending them to us; the Privacy Policy explains the exceptions.
You are responsible for the files and content you use here. Only use files you own or have permission to use, and keep your own copy of anything important before you change it.
3. Acceptable use
Please do not:
- use the tools for anything unlawful, or to infringe someone else's rights;
- remove a password or restriction from a document you have no right to open or change;
- use the lookup tools to probe, attack or overload other people's systems;
- send automated requests in volume, try to get around the usage limits, or interfere with the working of the site.
We may block access that breaks these rules.
4. No guarantee
The tools are provided "as is" and "as available". We work to make them accurate and reliable, but we do not guarantee that a tool will be free of errors, will always be available, or will be suitable for a particular purpose. Check the result before you rely on it — especially for legal, financial, medical or security purposes.
Some tools give estimates or advice, such as the password strength checker, the SEO tools and the text recognition tools. These are aids, not professional advice.
5. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, iLoveMyFile and the people who run it are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of the site or its tools, including loss of data, loss of profit, or the consequences of relying on a result. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited by law.
6. Third-party software and links
The tools are built with open-source software libraries, used under their own licences. The site may link to other websites; we are not responsible for their content or practices.
7. Our content
The iLoveMyFile name, logo, design and the text on this site belong to us. You are welcome to link to any page.
8. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows when they last changed, and continuing to use the site means you accept the current version.
