What it works on
People, pets, products, cars, food, logos and most other pictures with a clear main subject. It keeps soft edges such as hair and fur where it can. Pictures where the subject blends into a busy background are harder, and fine strands may be lost.

Is it really free?
Yes. There is no sign-up, no watermark and no limit on how many pictures you do. The result is saved at the full size of your picture.
Is my photo uploaded anywhere?
No. The AI model is downloaded to your browser once (about 44 MB), and after that your picture is processed on your own device. It is never sent to us.
Why is the first picture slower?
The first time, your browser has to download the AI model. It is kept afterwards, so the next pictures start straight away.
How long does one picture take?
Usually 3 to 15 seconds. It depends on your device, because the work is done by your own computer or phone rather than a server. Older phones may be slower or may not have enough memory.
What format is the result?
A PNG file. With no background chosen it is transparent, so you can place it on any design. If you pick a colour, the PNG is saved with that colour behind the subject.
What is the largest picture I can use?
Pictures up to 16 megapixels are kept at full size. Larger ones are scaled down to 16 megapixels first, and the page tells you when that happens.
