What is converted
The text of your PDF is rebuilt as real, editable paragraphs. Lines that were wrapped in the PDF are joined back into paragraphs, headings are recognised by their size, and each PDF page starts on a new page. This gives you clean text that is easy to edit and reformat. Images, tables, columns and the exact position of things on the page are not reproduced.
Frequently asked questions
Will the Word file look exactly like my PDF?
No. You get the text with its headings and paragraphs, ready to edit. Pictures, tables and complex layouts are not carried over.
My PDF is a scan. Will this work?
Not directly, because a scan has no text to convert. Run it through OCR PDF first, then convert the searchable PDF it gives you.
Which programs open the result?
Any that open .docx files: Microsoft Word, Google Docs, Apple Pages, LibreOffice and others.
Are my files uploaded to a server?
