How to convert TXT to PDF

What to expect

Your text is laid out exactly as written: every line break, blank line, space and tab is kept, in an evenly spaced font so that columns of text stay aligned. Long lines wrap at the edge of the page instead of being cut off. Any language and emoji work, and the text in the PDF can be selected and searched.

Frequently asked questions

Can I choose the font or paper size?

Paper size, margins and orientation are set in the save window. The font is a standard evenly spaced one, chosen so that spacing is preserved.

Does it work with log files and code?

Yes. Any plain text file works, including .log, .md and .csv files.

Is there a size limit?

Files up to 60 MB can be opened, though very long files make a PDF with many pages.

Why does a print window open?

The PDF is made by your browser's built-in PDF engine, which gives sharp, selectable text in every language. Choosing "Save as PDF" in that window saves the file instead of printing it. You can also set the paper size, margins and orientation there.

Are my files uploaded to a server?

No. Your file is converted in your browser and never leaves your device.
